Annette Birman (Annie B) began beekeeping as a hobby in 1996 with a single bee hive. She currently has fifty hives (with the number growing) and a passion for beekeeping. Annie B started slowly with a small table of honey at her church fair. Soon she was selling honey and other products at craft shows and in various New England storefront locations. Annie B’s Farm, nestled on 2 ½ acres in Cumberland, RI, works exclusively with friendly Italian bees who have a reputation for gentleness and are excellent honey producers.
Hello, I am Jeff the Beeman, and I am happy that you have found Aquidneckhoney. I began keeping honeybees in 1996 In Newport RI with a couple of hives. My grandfather was an immigrant from Portugal and an incredible gardener. I would spend weekends and afternoons first landscaping and then gardening with him. His talent and passion for agriculture amazed me.
Founded in 1987, Betty’s Bee Farm is a 14 acre farm run by Betty Mercucci.
Some of what we grow is available year-round.
